Let your creativity shine through in the Pot-a-Doodle Do Interactive Art Studio: Whether you’re arty or not, you’ll love the fun and entertaining things to make and do here at Pot-a-Doodle Do!

It’s so simple to express your inner artist and have a great time while painting personalised ceramics and making mosaics. Every item you make will be a one-off unique and very original keepsake to treasure: Make a souvenir from a wonderful Northumbrian holiday or a gift for someone really special.

Kids and Family Pottery Painting

Children love crafting and become fully absorbed in painting as soon as they arrive. But mums and dads don’t need to sit on the sidelines and watch. Roll those sleeves up, slip on an apron and join in the fun too!

The art studio is very relaxed and friendly, so there’s no pressure to produce a Mona-Lisa, and there’s hand on help, tips and tuition to help those creative juices flow. Just come along and enjoy the creative environment. All you need is ready and waiting for you to get stuck in, including aprons, and equipment.

You can choose from a splendid range of ceramic items, such as dishes, mugs, pots, and even figurines if you’re feeling more ambitious. Start with something simple, like a plate or piece of crockery, and before you know it, you could have created your very own unique personalised dinner service, a one of a kind tea set!

Mums, dads and grandparents can cherish a new baby’s footprints or a toddlers handprints on a plate, tile, dish or vase for years to come. Hen parties can create a commemorative platter, a plate each to make a dinner service, or tea set for the bride to be, then all sign it as a fun memento.

Pot-a-Doodle Do Interactive Art Studio is fun for all ages and artistic abilities: Ideal as a party venue for birthdays, anniversaries, hen parties, corporate events, the disabled, group outings and school educational trips.

After you have chosen your item you can either paint in acrylics and take your item home on the day or if you wish to have your item glazed and fired you may leave it with us for a couple of days and return to see your master piece transformed.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite in the studio, head over to the Pot-a-Doodle Do Café Bistro for a tasty lunch, afternoon snack or a well earned cuppa. You’ll find a menu that’s stuffed with goodies made from local produce, and scrumptiously mouth-watering homemade cakes, tray bakes and scones. Mmm!
